“Yaar” N/E is proud to be coming to it’s third Curryfest!
Author: Nourished Earth Date Posted:11 September 2019
This annual pilgrimed on the last Saturday of September sees well over 10,000 thousand attendees. Both locals and travellers from across the globe descended on the beachside town to soak up Indian music, dancing and sample curries and cuisines from all over the world.
Curryfest celebrates the unique Punjabi heritage of Woolgoolga, immediately obvious from the First Sikh Temple of Australia on the hill as you enter the town and backed up with a rich history even on the local Woolgoolga Diggers RSL Mural, where proud Sikhs fought side by side with Australia during both World Wars. The main festival day features over 180 food and market stalls, a Kids Zone with great rides and entertainment, and for those seeking inner peace? a "Wellness Zone" run by Nourished Earth. This space has events including 2 FREE Children's Yoga classes at 9:30 and 1:30, limited places so to secure a spot booking early. You might also fancy a treat with a Neck and Shoulder Massage from one of our Nourished Earth Spa Therapists or an Organic Eye Makeup application from one of our trained Beuty Therapists. This year we are taking bookings as the queues last year where epic. The main entertainment stage has cooking demonstrations and dancers from across the country, from Bollywood to the basic, even “screw in the lightbulb” makes and appearance. Nourished Earth looks forward to seeing you there as Woolgoolga celebrates all things great about life on the Coffs Coast.
